Ordering Your Next Piece of Custom Furniture Is Easy

PROCESS
​Whether you are looking to purchase an existing design, modify an existing design, or create something entirely custom, it all starts with a conversation. We will chat about function, materials, designs, and
budget considerations. My goal after this conversation is to understand your goals and to generate
a rough estimate. 


For custom work, we begin collaborating on design, form, and function. Drawings are generated, and we exchange ideas until a working design is reached. I will generally collect a design fee going into this stage to cover the labor investment to generate those drawings. Moving forward, I will apply this cost towards the commission. It is important to note that designing for me is a fluid process. Ideas are often sparked during the fabrication, and the materials themselves can influence the design. Any alterations will be discussed  prior to committing. 

Once the design is agreed upon and finalized, I collect a non-refundable 40% deposit. This allows
me to start gathering materials and preparing for fabrication. This deposit also reserves your place
in my schedule.


NATURAL RESOURCES
Wood is a treasured natural resource. Each and every piece of lumber is unique in color, grain, and structure. I like to highlight and incorporate this uniqueness into my design. While I make every effort to hold true to the appearances of products represented on this website, please remember that every board is as unique as a fingerprint. Knots, cracks, inclusions are all part of nature and should be embraced in
your final piece of furniture.


SHIPPING
Shipping and crating expenses are covered by the customer. The majority of pieces can be shipped through UPS or FedEx. Items are carefully packaged in custom cardboard crates and fully insured. For larger items I use a "white glove" delivery service. They pick up the piece at my location, blanket wrap
​the item, and deliver it inside your home or business.

LEAD TIMES
Project times can vary depending on current workload and the complexity of your specific project. Typically most projects can be completed in 8-10 weeks. I will keep you updated on progress. If you are
a local customer, I always encourage you to swing by the shop and see the progress firsthand.

PRICING
Pricing is dependent on types of material and complexity of your project. The 40% deposit and any design
fees are due in full prior to the start of any work and are non-refundable. The remaining balance is
due in full prior to pickup, delivery, or shipping.
